Dr. Zhang was one of the pioneers of Crispr technology and was recognized as a Blavatnik Laureate for his role in developing the CRISPR-Cas9 gene-editing system and pioneering its use in mammalian cells, and for his development of revolutionary technologies in neuroscience.
